What does skin rejuvenation with fractional CO2 Laser
With fractional CO2 With the laser, we can treat wrinkles, especially fine lines around the mouth and in the lower eyelid area. Age spots, enlarged pores, acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks can also be treated very effectively with the laser.
Unlike surgical procedures (facelift, lower eyelid lift), the risks are minimal. In fractional mode, the laser makes tiny incisions in the skin at regular intervals; the untreated skin in between undergoes natural regeneration. With the CO2RE Fusion function, this fractional mode is combined with localized, deeper laser radiation, which stimulates the production of the body’s own collagen and elastic fibers. After approximately 6–8 weeks, this results in a firmer and smoother complexion with reduced wrinkles. For very pronounced wrinkles, multiple sessions are necessary. In such cases, 2–4 treatments spaced 6–8 weeks apart are required. However, for very deep wrinkles and excess skin, a facelift is indicated. We will explain this in detail during a personal consultation.
Laser treatment can be combined very well with fillers and botulinum toxin.
Treatment Information
During a personalized consultation, your desired treatment goals will be documented and a treatment plan will be developed. Depending on the size of the area or whether a combination treatment is involved, you should expect the session to last between 15 and 60 minutes. The procedure can be performed without anesthesia. The area to be treated is covered with a topical anesthetic cream 15 minutes before the procedure. If you are sensitive to pain, sedation is an option. After disinfecting the skin, the laser is applied and the skin is treated with individual laser pulses.
The treated areas will be slightly red after the procedure; swelling will occur, followed by scabbing. This scab will fall off on its own and be replaced by new skin. This process takes about 7 days, so you should keep this in mind when planning your social engagements. It takes several weeks for new elastic and collagen fibers to mature; only then will the final result be visible.
Hospital stay and anesthesia
A hospital stay is not necessary. Twilight sedation may be required, depending on the size of the treated area.
