The clinic offers comprehensive medical care in a modern and comfortable environment. Our experienced team of doctors and dedicated nursing staff are passionate about the well-being of our patients. It actually all started a few years ago when we were making a movie about ourselves and our practice. It was the first time we had been together privately for several days since our studies. We shared an apartment, talked a lot, laughed and told each other stories from our studies.
In this film, which can be seen at the top of this page, we talked about ourselves, our careers and our work philosophy, and when we had finished filming, all four of us said: next time we'll do something with our patients.
We launched the project in summer 2019 and because we wanted to give the patients' voices a face, we looked for a photographer. We found Sime Eskinja, a renowned fashion photographer with a special eye for physicality. Sime flew from Paris to us in Frankfurt and for two days we were practically putty in his hands. The 4 of us plus 23 patients and one patient.
Dresses, scarves and hats flew everywhere. Clouds of powder permeated the air and a wind machine carried the music across the spacious loft floor. People photographed, filmed, talked and laughed. In short, it was a magical two days.
As we sat in front of the hundreds of photos, it was immediately clear that we had to do more with them than Instagram posts or website stories and so, together with Katinka Omir, who has been with us as Creative Director for many years, the idea for this magazine was born.
We would like to give you, dear reader, a sense of who we are, what we do and why. And because we would be nothing without our wonderful patients, we want to do this together with them. We are very happy that we could also win Marlene Sørensen and Susann Atwell as contributors for this project.
A small disclaimer is permitted, as we make no claim to medical completeness here. That's not what this magazine is for and that's what our practice and personal consultations are for.
On the following pages, we would like to give you an insight into our work philosophy, our sense of aesthetics and our personalities, because above everything we do, our ideal of humanity, honesty, trust and naturalness always stands, and because this is so much easier said than done, we hope that you can see for yourself.
Deployment in Myanmar 2019
Since our student days, we have been traveling to developing and war-torn countries once a year to enable people to undergo surgery who would not be able to afford it without the aid organization.

INTERPLAST Germany e.V. is a non-profit organization that offers free plastic surgery operations in developing countries.
It was founded in 1980 by Prof. Gottfried Lemperle, then Head Physician of the Clinic for Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery at Markus Hospital in Frankfurt am Main. This idea quickly caught on throughout Germany and Europe. INTERPLAST Germany alone has organized over 600 missions in recent years and is now active in over 50 countries around the world.
The patients treated suffer from facial malformations, cleft lip and palate, hand malformations, severe burn scars, tumors of the skin and soft tissue, defects following accidents or the consequences of war and other congenital malformations.
The costs incurred are financed by donations and the annual membership fee.
As part of our training in plastic surgery at Markus Hospital in Frankfurt am Main, we also took part in many aid missions.
