The breasts are an expression of femininity and a central element of one’s body image. Whether for medical reasons—such as chronic back pain caused by overly large breasts—aesthetic desires for a harmonious shape, or reconstruction following breast cancer—every breast surgery has its own story. At our practices in Frankfurt am Main and Oberursel, we support women on this personal journey with medical expertise, a trained eye for proportions, and a commitment to natural-looking results.

The choice depends primarily on whether volume, shape, or both need to be altered. If volume is lacking—either naturally or following pregnancy and breastfeeding—breast augmentation with implants or Autologous fat may be considered. If there is sufficient natural tissue but the shape has sagged, a lift is the appropriate procedure: it changes the position, not the size. If the breasts cause physical discomfort—such as back and neck pain—a reduction is recommended, in which tissue is removed and the breasts are lifted at the same time. Following cancer treatment, the focus is on reconstruction, using either implants or autologous tissue. Existing implants can be replaced or permanently removed. Breast augmentation and a Lift can be combined if both volume and shape are to be altered. We’ll determine which method is right for you during a detailed, in-person consultation.
| Intervention | When to Use It |
|---|---|
| Breast augmentation | If the breasts are perceived as too small, have lost volume after pregnancy, or if asymmetries need to be corrected. |
| Breast reduction | Physical discomfort caused by breasts that are too large or heavy—back, neck, and shoulder pain, as well as skin problems. |
| Breast lift | If the skin on the breasts has become saggy after pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight loss. |
| Breast reconstruction | Following breast cancer surgery to restore the shape of the breast—including in combination with Autologous fat. | Correction of Congenital Malformations | In cases of tubular breasts, Poland syndrome, or pronounced asymmetries. | Breast Cancer Surgeries | Breast-conserving surgery and tumor removal in close collaboration with oncologists. |
Our team covers the entire spectrum of aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery:
We’ll determine which procedure is appropriate on a case-by-case basis during the initial consultation.
That depends on your individual situation, your preferences, and the medical findings. During a detailed consultation, we will examine you and discuss the options that are right for you—without any time pressure. It is not possible to provide a general recommendation in breast surgery without a personal examination.
This depends on the procedure and its scope: many procedures are performed on an outpatient basis in our own certified operating rooms in Oberursel, while larger or reconstructive procedures are performed either on an outpatient basis or as inpatient procedures, depending on the procedure. Consultations take place in Frankfurt (Am Salzhaus 6) and Oberursel; surgeries are performed in Oberursel.
The costs depend on the procedure, the amount of work involved, and the individual’s specific situation—therefore, it is not possible to provide a flat-rate estimate. You can find the relevant price ranges on the individual procedure pages; you will receive a binding estimate following a personal consultation. Reconstructive procedures following cancer treatment are generally covered by health insurance.
You will be treated by specialists in plastic and aesthetic surgery; Dr. Zeynep Potente and Dr. Bianca Baican are EBOPRAS-certified. Together, the team covers the entire spectrum of aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery. Surgeries are performed in the clinic’s own certified operating rooms.
We take the time to answer your questions, examine you, and develop a personalized treatment plan—with an honest assessment of your options and limitations. You can schedule an appointment online via Doctolib or by phone.
