A nose job (rhinoplasty) reshapes the size, shape, or proportions of the nose and can also improve nasal breathing. It may be performed for aesthetic reasons—such as to correct a bump, a wide nose, or a crooked nose—or for functional reasons, such as to correct a deviated nasal septum. The procedure usually takes 1–2 hours and is performed under general anesthesia in our certified operating rooms in Oberursel.

Vor dem Eingriff sollte das Nasenwachstum abgeschlossen sein.

Closed-loop technology: The incisions are made entirely inside the nose—leaving no visible scars. Suitable for minor corrections.

You’ll wear a supportive nasal splint for about a week. Swelling and bruising usually subside within 1–2 weeks; after about two weeks, most patients are back to their normal social lives. You should avoid sports and wearing glasses for a few weeks. The final, refined result will be visible once the swelling has completely subsided—which can take up to 12 months.
As with any surgical procedure, there are risks. These include swelling, bruising, temporary numbness, postoperative bleeding, and—in rare cases—a less-than-optimal aesthetic result that may require a follow-up procedure. We will discuss all risks with you in detail before the procedure.
Cosmetic rhinoplasty is a service that patients must pay for out of pocket. If the procedure is medically necessary—for example, due to impaired nasal breathing or the aftermath of an accident—health insurance may cover the costs.
