Actinic keratosis

Also called solar keratoses or actinic precancers, they are now considered in-situ squamous cell carcinomas of the skin. They develop through cumulative exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sunlight. They occur preferentially on exposed areas such as the face, shoulders, décolleté, back, and hands.
